Currently under construction at Bluefix Boatworks are the NorthCape Custom 43, NorthCape Custom 49, and NorthCape Custom 51 — each representing the next generation of high-performance sportfishing design.
Every vessel is built using advanced epoxy foam-core construction, with full resin infusion across all components and flat panels. Hulls and superstructures are meticulously hand-laid and vacuum-consolidated, producing an exceptionally strong, lightweight structure designed for durability and long-term performance.
The NorthCape 43 and 49 feature extensive carbon fibre reinforcement, delivering significant weight savings and enhanced strength, while the NorthCape 51 is constructed using premium E-glass laminates, chosen for its balance of strength, resilience, and proven offshore reliability.
Epoxy construction provides an ultra-stable and highly resilient platform — a critical foundation for the demanding performance these boats are engineered to deliver. Refined hull forms and carefully developed underwater geometry allow anglers to run fast, carve tight turns, and maintain a remarkably dry cockpit, with engineered lift helping keep the transom clear when backing down on fish.
The NorthCape 43 has been purpose-designed with integrated lifting points and a towing eye, allowing it to be craned aboard a mothership and transported anywhere in the world in pursuit of marlin. The NorthCape 49 is destined for the legendary fishing grounds of Kona, Hawaii, where its performance pedigree will truly shine. Meanwhile, the NorthCape 51 will join the Dogs Bollocks team in the world-class fishery of Cape Verde.
Also in development is the NorthCape Custom 58, currently in the design phase and destined for the famed giant black marlin waters of Cairns, Australia.

And it’s not the only Seakeeper gyro at Bluefix right now!

With the NorthCape 43 Carbon Fibre Edition soon to hit the water, we’ve been looking back on some incredible memories aboard Rowe’De’O – the very first NorthCape 43.
We’re Brad and Charlotte Rowe, founders of Bluefix Boatworks and NorthCape Custom Boats, and while we love building these boats, what means the most to us is getting out on the water as a family and using them exactly as they were intended. Watching our kids Charlie and Lindi on board Rowe’De’O has been something pretty special, and it’s a big part of why we do what we do.
We can’t wait to see the next NorthCape 43 out there creating just as many unforgettable memories.
