Bluefix Boatworks are based in the Bay of Islands Marina Boat Yard in Opua, Bay of Islands.
The team at Bluefix Boatworks have a reputation for creating yachts and powerboats to the highest world class standard. Not only do Bluefix build World Class boats, but they do it in a manner that leads the industry in production proficiency, health and safety and quality.
Bluefix Boatworks are proud to have some of New Zealand’s best boat builders, marine painters and engineers. They are one of the only facilities in New Zealand who offer all of these services in-house, meaning that projects come together seamlessly.
The Bluefix facilities are world class, and the shed was purpose built to accommodate vessels up to 30 metres in length. Based in the Bay of Islands Boat Yard, they have direct access to the water by way of the on-site travel lift and catamaran haul out trailer.

northcape 43
Recently completed at Bluefix is the NorthCape Custom 43 named Rowe’De’O.
Full epoxy foam core construction using resin infusion and powered by twin Cummins 600hp engines. The NorthCape Custom 43 has been designed for manoeuvrability with a dramatically curved transom and tumblehome hull running aft, this boat gets through the corner fast, with the drive chain further apart than anything else on the market.
