Bluefix Boatworks are based in the Bay of Islands Marina Boat Yard in Opua, Bay of Islands.

Our team includes some of New Zealand’s best boatbuilders, marine painters, and engineers, all working under one roof. With every key trade in-house, each project flows seamlessly from concept to completion.
Our purpose-built facility, located in the Bay of Islands Boat Yard, is designed to accommodate vessels up to 30 metres. With direct water access via the on-site travel lift and catamaran haul-out trailer, we provide a smooth, streamlined process for new builds, refits, and repairs.

Recently completed at Bluefix is the NorthCape Custom 43 named Rowe’De’O.
Full epoxy foam core construction using resin infusion and powered by twin Cummins 600hp engines. The NorthCape Custom 43 has been designed for manoeuvrability with a dramatically curved transom and tumblehome hull running aft, this boat gets through the corner fast, with the drive chain further apart than anything else on the market.
